Kevin Carter is a native of the San Francisco Bay Area, with a BA in theatre from San Francisco State University. He started composing in the 80’s with his a cappella group, The Flips, who opened for The Righteous Brothers, Maria Muldaur, Chris Isaak and others. He met the director and conceiver of THAT’S ANDY, Robert Jay Cronin, while performing at North Shore Music Theatre in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. Kevin also worked as a musical director at various high schools, regional theatres and theatre schools (highpoint: musical directing JoAnne Worley in Into The Woods!)

In 2000, he was accepted into the prestigious BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop, where he honed his craft. Other works: Gemini (music/lyrics, book by Albert Innaurato and Carter, directed by Robert Jay Cronin) - Ergo Theatre Company; The Awful Fate Of Melpomenus Jones (music-Carter/lyrics-Kim Lindsay, book: Carter/Lindsay).
